What People are Saying

"Our students loved your presentation....the things they learned were revealed when we 'unpacked' your lesson."
--Cookye Rutledge, Director, Appleseed Youth Writing Camp, Indiana-Purdue University Fort Wayne

"Laurie Gray was excellent.  She was informative, enthusiastic, and interesting.  Laurie really connected with a few of our teens who write.  The overall message of Laurie's visit was incredibly encouraging and positive, just what our patrons need. *** I had to laugh that of all the books I have read recently, I, a 24-year-old public school-educated woman, connected the most to a 12-year-old, home-schooled boy...."
--Darcy Davidson, Teen Services Supervisor, Eckhart Public Library, Auburn, IN

"A few or our sixth grade students have said it was one of the best books they ever read. Over 150 students joined us to hear about Laurie's background and how she developed her story with the use of poetry she had written."
--Dr. Robby Goodman, Principal, Northridge Middle School (Middlebury, IN)

"Your poem 'Someone, Anyone' is my favorite poem.  I think that's because that's how I feel all the time.  It's like you understand."
     --Madison D., 8th grade

" Tremendous presentation.  Exceeded my expectations.  The kids were totally engaged and excited.  Creating plot for these kids has always seemed very difficult.  However, Ms. Gray made it seem attainable for the students and teachers.  Very impressive."
     --Mr. Ottenweller, 4th grade

" I thought the presentation was fabulous....Thank you so much!"
     --Mrs. Russell, 2nd grade

"I loved her enthusiasm, which spills over into my students."
     --Mrs. Czartoski, 2nd grade

"The presentation was geared nicely for my age group, and it held everyone's attention very well."
     --Mr. Meyer, 2nd grade
